I know, right? There are already a ton of places to read stuff about the lifestyle if you look. When my wife and I started to get into the lifestyle a couple of years ago, we found that it was not only hard to find information, but that the information we found was either lacking or just wrong. We would look at the ads and wonder what all the acronyms or words meant. Or people would send us a message and use language we just didn't understand. Then once we were in, we had no idea how to describe to people what we were into or looking for, and everyone had a label so we wanted one too, thinking it would help us explain to others what we were doing or looking for. When we started socializing at the clubs, we saw that there were a ton of "dos" and "don'ts", plus there were all these things that we had no idea about how to do it right or the best way to go about it. And I am not talking about stuff related to just sex, I mean there was a whole community and etiquette to learn about.
So that's why. I know a couple of years is not a long time, and we still have a lot to learn. Fortunately for me, and us, we have had the opportunity to have a significant exposure to the community on a daily basis. Getting to see such a variety of interactions regularly and being able to sit down with so many people from different perspectives really has shown that there are some real gaps in the information that is out there. I get asked questions all the time about all sorts of adult oriented topics so let's get into some of what you can expect from here. From terminology to labels. From hot places to hot scenes. From high times to major drags, and from the clothes to the toys. We are going to give you the best advice we can from as many points of view, even from professionals if we can find them, on almost any adult topic you can imagine. We will help you find the things you've been looking for and the things you didn't know were there. Hopefully along the way this community will help us all learn and help everyone enjoy it more.
We are going to explain some of those terms. Like when somebody says they're a bull or unicorn, what does that really mean. I can't tell you how many times I have heard someone tell me they have such a hard time finding a "dom" because all these people have no idea what that might really mean. But I also think that we have to learn to be more specific about what we are looking for. These terms are only going to get us so far. Sometimes I see people talking at a club and then see it break off quickly, and I have approached them and asked what happened because it looked like it was going so well. Countless times I have learned that sometimes it can take a while to figure out that there is a style conflict, because people still have anxiety over talking about sex and interacting. I know, it just doesn't always feel natural and sometimes it feels just awkward. Especially when someone in the group giggles when they get nervous.
We're going to look at a lot of the etiquette and boundaries. There seems like there are so many stories to tell. Hurt feelings, anxiety, embarrassment, and anger don't go away just because you have found a way to be more open or free or party like you just don't care. Good lord the drama that comes out can make your head spin. But there are ways to be graceful and to either not let it get to you or not let it show. We'll talk about things like how to behave to get more interaction and conversation and how to avoid those awkward "NOs" no matter which side of it you're on.
We will look at places, products, clothes, and hygiene. Everyone wants to put their best foot forward so they can feel their best when they are out and meeting people. We will dive into those topics that hopefully help up a person's social game and understand when it might not be working. Hopefully we can help people understand how to be comfortable with themselves and not worry about the reasons why they may not be getting the responses they want.
We want everyone to be able to find the things that they are looking for in the adult life community and really find some happiness in being themselves. So, we look forward to hearing from you about what you are looking for us to talk about. Reach out to us and we will do our best to get you as many answers as we can.
